As part of our continuum of care, we recognize the unique demands of the collegiate experience, along with the various challenges that present themselves as students seek to achieve their goals in the areas of academics, relationships, family, and recovery.

For these reasons, we provide students with opportunities to work collaboratively with our clinical and intervention staff to address substance use concerns and other addiction behaviors, while also working through co-occurring instances of stress, anxiety, family concerns, depression, low self-esteem, indecision, and other related mental health concerns. We are equipped to work with students who have primary concerns related to alcohol or other drugs, gambling, or other addictive behaviors. We are also equipped to provide ongoing support for individuals in recovery from disordered eating.

We work to promote a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment where students can partner with us to address substance recovery and mental health needs through the various counseling and intervention services we provide:

  • Individual counseling
  • Group counseling
  • Family counseling
  • Mentorship and coaching
  • Drug and alcohol testing
  • Psychological assessment
  • Treatment planning and referral services

The Department of Collegiate Recovery and Intervention Services also works collaboratively with various campus constituents, partners, and community agencies to provide students with resources in the following areas:

  • Academic support and coaching
  • Career and vocational development
  • Nutritional health and wellness
  • Physical health and wellness
  • Legal updates and diversion programming (for students with cases)
